Here in the digital age, do you find that you differentiate between high resolution images that can be printed out, and smaller files that they are allowed to share on Facebook or other social media?

Do you charge differently for each type?

Sounds like a perfect video Q&A moment I get to do this week!

The short answer is that I prefer to charge for my work and give the photos away for free.

It’s certainly NOT the industry standard but I don’t want to put my couple in a weird place so my work is there’s as high res files and I sell prints or digital downloads to the wedding guests on Shootproof.

Anything I sell after the fact is gravy. I charge for me, my eye and the processing I put in the photos.

It’s a nice selling position especially these days but I’ve been doing this for over 20 years.

Thanks for the question!
